Born and raised in Saint-Boniface, Ginette Lavack is a proud Francophone and a lifelong advocate for community, culture, and progress. With over 15 years of senior leadership in the arts and culture sector and more than 30 years in hospitality and events, she has dedicated her career to bringing people together, fostering connections, and strengthening the fabric of our community.
As CEO of the Centre culturel franco-manitobain (CCFM), Ginette has championed cultural growth and inclusivity, while her leadership roles at Festival du Voyageur, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and Tourism Winnipeg have reinforced her commitment to showcasing our heritage and driving economic vitality. She holds a degree in Public Relations from the University of Winnipeg, equipping her with the skills to effectively advocate for the people she serves.
Ginette has played a key role in some of Winnipeg’s most significant community and national events, including the 103rd Grey Cup, the 2007 World Women's Hockey Championship, the 2006 Grey Cup, and the 2005 Juno Awards. Her dedication extends beyond her professional work – she actively volunteers with organizations such as Travel Manitoba, the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA), Manitobans for the Arts, and The Forks North Portage Partnership.
A passionate advocate for a better future, Ginette is committed to tackling climate change, expanding economic opportunity, protecting democracy, and advancing social justice. She believes in the power of collective action and the strength of community.
